Since 1711, despite the Senate decree on making only coins instead of small money, all incoming silver is sent to the Red Yard for the production of kopecks, and Kadashevsky remains without silver. A series of
1712-1713
years (probably from the remains of silver) completes the pre-reform (that is, before 1718) manufacture of a large silver coin. The portraits, although they do not have the stamp carver's mark, are apparently made by Solomon Guen.
The legend of the obverse side is "Царь Петр Алексеевич В.Р.П.", the ruler of all Russia; the reverse side is "Московскиi полтина" and the date in Arabic numerals. The edge of the coins is smooth, the standard weight is 14.00 grams, the sample is about 729.
