Obverse:
in the middle is the Small State Emblem of the Russian Empire, under it along the edge of the coin the denomination "10 РУБЛЕЙ" and the year of issue of the coin "1890".
Reverse:
in a circle along the edge of the coin, separated at the bottom by a flower rosette, is the inscription "Б.М. АЛЕКСАНДР III ИМПЕРАТОР И САМОДЕРЖЕЦ ВСЕРОССИЙСКИЙ", in the middle is the head of the Emperor of the Russian Empire Alexander III, facing to the right.
