WWI-WWII British military chaplains medals, badges, etc. This is a very nice grouping from Reverend Eric E. Yelverton who served in the Royal Army Chaplains Department in WWI thru WWII, and received an MID in WWI, and an O.B.E. in 1945. Includes a nice period miniature medals bar for WWI and WWII service (he served in Africa and Italy); the WWI Kings medal and OBE are sterling. Also a lovely large embroidered Royal Army Chaplains Department emblem on thick black ribbed silk backing, mounted with nice ribbon bar, and two badges. The bronze badge is a Royal Army Chaplains Department Christian Officers cap badge, and the other is a rare Royal Army Chaplains service dress cap badge in real gold & enamel (Kings Crown); both badges are pinback. They were obviously framed at one point, but when I acquired the lot they were loose; but are still mounted on a stiffener and would be easy to re-frame if desired. There is also a very nice signed photo-postcard of the Reverend in uniform with nice detail, probably taken circa WWI or shortly thereafter, and some research including a copy of the Gazette for his O.B.E. which was awarded on 13th March 1945. Very nice grouping from Chaplain who served in two wars, and was decorated. Includes research, but needs some more to find out exactly what he did for the MID and O.B.E.. Note: Riker case not included.
