    Description

    In excellent condition, a lovely brass and enamel pinback badge. The Queen Mary's Needlework Guild came into being in August 1914 when Queen Mary wrote through the Press to the Women of the Empire asking that they might give help 'To alleviate all distress occasioned by the War!'. The purpose of the guild was to provide comforts and create articles of clothing and surgical equipment for the troops.

Registered airmail is much safer since it allows tracking of packages and compensation in the event of loss.
