I just received a shipment from Guerrero with lots of these
Decorative Coconut masks.... This particular mask is of a Red Devil Face with a
Goatee
.
Each mask begins with
1/2 a dried coconut shell and a gesso like coating is applied to the surface.  The colored enamel paints are hand painted giving each mask a high gloss finish...
There is a
hole at the top of his head
so you can string some twine and hang it on the wall.  They are lots of fun and quite whimsical.
Perfect gift for the Devil in your Life or a nice addition to your Mexican Folk Art Collection....
It measures;  8 inches tall by 5 inches wide and 2 inches deep.
