2 WWI British Medals
Description:
Presented for your consideration is this pair of British/United Kingdom medals from World War I. One medal is a Victory Medal, awarded to those who received the 1914 Star. This bronze medal shows Victoria on the front and on the back reads "The Great War For Civilisation 1914-1919." The bottom edge is engraved with "19334 Pte. J. Paterson P. Scots." It is finished with a rainbow colored ribbon. The other medal is a British War Medal and shows a man's bust on the front with "Georgivs V. Britt. Omn. Rex. Et. Ind. Imp." The opposite side has a picture of a man on a horse with 1914-1918 marked around it. The bottom edge of the medal is marked with "
19334 Pte. J. Paterson." The medal is finished with a yellow, black, white and blue striped ribbon. Both medals are attached to a cardboard bar at the top. The bar is sewn into the medals. These neat medals would make a great addition to any WWI memorabilia or military collection!
A small stain is near the bottom of the rainbow ribbon. Light wear from age and use. Overall the medals are in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Each measures 4 1/4" long and 1 1/2" wide.
