I just received a shipment from Guerrero with lots of these
Decorative Coconut masks.... This particular mask is of a Deer head.
Each mask begins with
1/2 a dried coconut shell and a gesso like coating is applied to the surface.  The colored enamel paints are hand painted giving each mask a high gloss finish...
There is a
hole at the top of his head
so you can string some twine and hang it on the wall.  They are lots of fun and quite whimsical.
Perfect for a children's room or Mexican Folk Art Collection....
It measures;  6 3/4 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches deep.
